Naomi Sandweiss

Hi and thanks for this opportunity to introduce myself! My name is Naomi and I am the person behind Family Fun Fare. As you may have guessed, I am a parent (of a girl and a boy) and live in the beautiful Southwest. In addition to Family Fun Fare, I spend time on other projects that honor and support children.

My current projects and passions include:

* An October 2006 exhibit about the Kindertransport, an effort to save 10,000 children from the Nazis in the 1930's. Learn more about the Kindertransport.

* Grant writing to support comprehensive educational reform, school gardens, and other educational efforts in New Mexico.

* Developing curriculum on a variety of topics.

* Reading about anything and everything. See my current reading list. Good Books

My educational background includes an M.A. in Education and elementary teacher certification. Most importantly, I learn constantly "on the job" from my kids, friends, neighbors and colleagues.
